Workout timing
Using a stopwatch for workouts
A stopwatch can make training more consistent. Instead of guessing rest periods or work blocks, you can measure them and repeat the same structure next time.
Good workout uses
- Measure rest between strength sets.
- Time planks, wall sits, hangs, and mobility holds.
- Record laps for repeated circuits or rounds.
- Use interval mode for work/rest training blocks.
- Use countdown mode for warm-ups and cooldowns.
Simple interval example
Set interval mode to 40 seconds of work, 20 seconds of rest, and 8 rounds. This gives a short, repeatable 8 minute session that works for bodyweight exercises, rowing, cycling, skipping rope, or mobility drills.
Safety note
A timer helps structure training, but it does not replace good technique, recovery, or medical advice. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or unusual discomfort.
